Amy Eggleston is delighted to guide the Hendricks Symphony Orchestra and Chorus for a fifth year as Music Director and Conductor.  She has an extensive resume as teacher and/or coach-accompanist for numerous local  institutions, including  Butler University, University of Indianapolis, Indianapolis Opera, Indianapolis Children's Choir, Indianapolis Symphonic Choir, the Catholic Choir of Indianapolis and the Hendricks Symphony Chorus. She served as a vocal coach and accompanist for the Cincinnati Opera, the Muddy River Opera Company, and the opera departments at both the University of Cincinnati (CCM) and Indiana University. She holds degrees from The Peabody Institute of The Johns Hopkins University, Indiana University Jacobs School of Music and the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. A highly versatile musician, she actively teaches privately and has a long-standing history of directing opera workshops and teaching diction. She has served as Music Director and Organist for many churches in Indiana and in her home state of Vermont. She  is currently Music Director at Saint Philip Neri Catholic Church in Indianapolis.  Beyond  sharing her expertise in instrumental conducting,  choral conducting and vocal coaching,  she has appeared with Hendricks Symphony as a pianist, organist  and even as a flamenco dancer.
